What the hell am I doing drawing stuff like this at 2:30 am on a school/work night? Egads, I must be possessed.Anyway, this is a kind of parody of my current "Women of Japanese Horror" series of paintings. From the top: Yamamura Sadako (The Ring), Kawai Mitsuko (Dark Water)Yamazaki Asami (Audition), and Saeki Kayako and Toshio-kitty (Ju-on/The Grudge). It seems to me that a lot of Japanese horror antagonists seem to have had really crappy childhoods or lives in general. They may be dead (Yes, Asami counts as dead), but that doesn't mean that modern psychology can't help them! XD

Sadako was born with a genetic disorder that resulted in her having what's called testicular feminization syndrome - genetically, she's a male, but her Y chromosome never fully kicked in. She's physically a female, except that she has testicles (underdeveloped, but they're still there).

kayako is the star from the movie "THE GRUDGE"...well, "THE GRUDGE" is the american version. the japanese version is "ju-on". jesus fuck that movie truamatized the hell out of me. O_O;; AUGH SCARY JAWLESS LADY STALKING DOWN TEH CORIDORS OF A HOSPITAL.
