not only does the picture look like a cup of coffee, but it has the feel of coffee. if i had a cafe, i would hang a picture like this up in the window XP

Not from modern art (except, perhaps, the style), but from RenΓ©'s Magritte work, "Ceci nes't pa une pomme" or "Ceci nes't pa une pipe". And the concept is not "whatever you want", but rather that the artwork itself is not that set thing (in this case, coffe), it is mearlly a representation of set object. Magritte was f*cking brilliant and this work is quite nice. Do the righ thing here, do the homage, and quote the direct source. I've taken a brief look at your gallery and I've noticed that has happened on other ocasions. Kid, you are young, very young (I'm young too and I'm almost ten years older), so it is natural that the concepts don't creep up just yet to you, but technically you are impressive, very talented. So quote the references, homage your influences and you'll see that doing it only makes you look good and interest. Time, life and whatever other clichΓ© will take care of the rest.
