The Icon looks amazingly beautiful and detailed.  The face looks compassionate to me, which is something I hoped to see. I also love the coloring, especially of the robe, with the rich blue, reds and gold, as well as the coloring of the hair.  The gold halo really stands out.  One thing I did not expect was the detailed relief carving.  This truly looks like something I would see in a museum, from antiquity.  Eastern Christian Iconography is becoming a lost art form. Although I am not religious, this is a part of art history.

I am extraordinarily pleased with what I see.  Excellent work.

NOTE TO READERS:
I have commissioned a number of works from this artist, including this one, and I can attest that when you see her work in person, it is even more amazing that what you see in photos and videos.  The details and colors cannot be fully appreciated in photos and videos.  The quality of workmanship is of a very high standard of excellence. Her miniature works are also incredible, such as her miniature books and objects.  The pages of the tiny books are incredibly detailed.  Everyone I have show them to have been very impressed.  All of her works of art that I have look like the works of a master artist and craftsman. I have also commissioned work from this artist as gifts for my family and freinds.  Smaller items of high artistic value make good gifts for people who do not have a lot of space to display art.  The price paid for such high quality of art was very reasonable.
