Hello! I hope you don't mind my posting on your page today! I'd like to invite you to join my group; Pop Culture Crochet. I'd love to make this group DA's hub for all things crochet with a pop culture spin and I've had a peek through your gallery and think that some of your items would find the perfect home there
Hope to see you there!

You're welcome. It's so much fun to find another clay artist. Especially when your style are so different to mine and most of the clay artists here.

Your Harry Potter collection is very well done. I am impressed at the level of skill you demonstrated by capturing all of the characteristics in such simplified forms.
Yes, I guess my style is a little different. I'm still developing as an artist, so I'm not sure where the style is leading me.

Thanks
I think it's exiting when you just draw or sculpt and don't think about the style because you're not realizing you have one. In that way you don't "force" yourself into making art that looks exactly the same.

Yeah know, I have to admit that I don't really think about this stuff too much. I find that it gets in the way of my work.
For awhile, I really agonized over developing a 'style.' Then I realized that it was something that would occur on its own, over time, as I experimented with, and learned to sculpt. I find it easier to lay outside influences aside in favor of creating sculptures that make me happy. If I have a mental image and a goal before hand, then I try to make the sculpture match it as much as possible. If not, then I just work until I've created something I'm happy with that has pushed my skills as far as they can go at that moment in time. The essence of my work, coupled with time, will ultimately result in a 'style.' Well, at least that's what I think.

I totally agree. Besides, those who see your work will probably think you have your own style and recognize work done by you.
