Description
They found this strange man not too far away from the road, in the midst of dead bodies.

It was obvious that a fight must have happened and that more people must have run from the place, as the traces were still visible. There was blood everywhere and the first flies started to sit down on the corpses as they could hear a stertorous breathing somwehere in the grass.

There he was, the elf-like creature with the black skin and white hair. Swords had caused deep and most likely deadly wounds on his torso but for some strange reason, this shadow was still alive, at least a little bit. As they rolled him over on his back, they could see the old burn marks on his face and blood on the hard rock underneath his head.

They had never seen a creature like this weird black-skinned elf.

They brought him to the village where a doctor was living with his family in a small house close to the well at the market. He examined the stranger, cleaned his severe wounds and kept him to watch over him. He did nit believe that his strangest patient ever would make it through the night ... but he was wrong.

Days passed and the stranger would stay asleep, interrupted by heavy dreams which would let him talk in a language even more exotic than his appearance. It was obvious that this man had a very strong will to live and even more strength which impressed not only the doctor but the whole village as everyone knew about the black elf just the day after he was found.

It took a full month until the man opened his eyes for the very first time. He seemed to be confused, maybe even lost and not knowing, where he was. The words he spoke had a very strong accent and when he was asked who he was and where he came from, the doctor could now see the full consequences of the terrible injuries which almost had killed this elf: He had lost all of his memories, did not even know his name any more! Why was he there, where did he come from... what the hell was he? He did not know.

So the stranger was named Medhi (the ancient word for September as this had been the month he was found) and invited to stay until he was fully recovered. And while Medhi was very welcome in the house of the one who saved his life, others were very worried as the elf was a child of darkness, found among the dead.
