Are the divisions between the stripes on its tail actually representative of how it looks on the fossil?

Yeah, I tried to base them on the light patches on the fossil, though it came out a bit sloppy in the sketch (the width of the stripes may be a bit too wide but I'm also allowing for the overlap of dark feathers later in the painting process). Number and general spacing of the light stripes should be correct, assuming the light patches on the tail represent absence of melanocites and not absence of feathers, or preservational artifact.
