I did this little t-shirt design in hopes to break into the shirt-a-day business, but so far no one wants it. Hrm. This is the full color version. I admit the worn effect here is a bit much.A clean version is available over at RedBubble here:

Hi--yeah, this was recently printed as a shirt on Qwertee back in April so I hope you had a chance to purchase one through them. I don't support bootlegs of my designs. Sorry for the late reply--haven't checked DA in a very long time.

Sorry for the late reply...I haven't checked DA in a very long time. I tried to upload it to RB again but it was quickly taken down. There was a big sweep of Star Wars designs that got taken down a while ago after complaints from Lucas Films. Sorry. It was recently featured on Qwertee for cheap so I hope you got a chance to get one then because I have no idea when this will be available again, if at all.

Cool--so glad you like it! Yeah, I wish the RB shirts weren't so darn expensive. I've only bought one so far (this one, actually) and just have a hard time justifying spending that much on a t-shirt. But the truth is I like the colors on the RB one better. With RIPT, I was limited to just 4 colors and I can do as many as I want on RedBubble. So there is that, at least.

I saw this on the RIPT page. They let you know like the day before they decide to run it, so give it time... I know it had a lot of "likes" so I'm sure it'll be printed.

Yeah, I miss the days when they used to send out rejection emails. At least you knew where your design stood instead of waiting forever. I can't remember exactly, but I think I sent this design to them almost a year ago. It's been in limbo ever since and has popped up a few times in the possibilitees pile. They finally decided to run it, though. Yay! I'll have more info when it gets closer to the sale date!

Great to hear! I've only known of the site for a little while and they've already run two of my designs. I already had a pretty good portfolio of stuff so I've slowly been sending them over to RIPT.

I like it, there's a lot of coolness here. I don't know how I feel about Darth in the back, and to be honest I'm not aware as the first poster was of the Iron Maiden connection.
Like the hints of yellow on the storm trooper a lot, and the rocks are great.

I did. Almost a year ago, I think. Never heard back from them. RIPT currently has it as a "maybe". I'm going to try to shop it around to some other folks and see what happens.

dude..this is funny...but really we're old...metal like this ain't popular with the kiddies...and these are the folks that buy up the popref stuff. somehow they have disposable income or they go into debt to buy this stuff. my stuff, no one seems to want either. sub it to Ript, Teefury, the yetee...i'm sure there are a few others out there. i think this t-shirt stuff has gotten out of hand though.

Yeah, TeeFury didn't want it and it's still being held as a "maybe" at RIPT. Not familiar with Yetee so maybe I'll try them. I've submitted a few designs and none of them have been accepted. I think I'm just too out of touch with what these kids want. Not enough video game references, I guess. I check these shirt sites every day in hopes to find something I'd want to spend $10 on, but I've only bought 2 so far (and one was just because I knew the guy who designed it). They're mostly Doctor Who, which I am a fan of, but haven't seen any Who shirts I'd ever want to wear. I've had a design printed on Catch of the Day, but most people have never heard of them so sales were very, very low. Still, I got a free shirt out of it so I guess it was worth it. I mostly design things I'd want to wear myself so mission accomplished, I suppose.

there's also Shirtpunch and Nowherebad to look at. I've been printed twice at threadless, once at Ript & teefury, twice at springleap (though i never saw a dime from that), a couple of times at Newherebad and a handful of times at woot. in all of my experience of designing quality shirts...i still have no clue what the kids want. the times i got printed at threadless i think were total flukes. i've had high scores there since then and they don't print...and woot...they like me the most, but they are more about a general/specific concept, meaning that they tend to not like overt direct references, but fancy a more subtle approach to things, even if some of their designs tend to be game or geek oriented...it's a struggle, this art game. i don't like it. but i do like making the art...masochist i suppose.

I thought about adding a rebel pilot hand or something but since the idea with this was to get it printed as a shirt and they often limit to 4 or 6 colors, it would just be too much or just totally lost in all the rubble.
