Just gettin' loose. This was a 3 hour sketch. 3/4 life size sculpted in J-mac classic clay. (Oil base).Related content

i love how the clay always comes alive in your hands. there's so much personality and character even in such a rough sketch - it's like how God crafted and shaped each of us and breathed life into us. you've definitely been blessed with a gift!

... you know, it's kinda disrespecting to not explain who it is for those who doesn't know. Or, is this guy's name really "Jagger"? Please don't bash me if it's someone superfamous you think I SHOULD know - because it's not my fault I don't know who this is. Thanks to the lack of any description, it could be a random head for all I care... but I don't know that either, since the description is telling me nothing.
Don't get mad at me - I am just trying to defend my own lack of knowledge on this sculptured head.

Oh, I see. Well... I know The Rolling Stones, and I have probably seen a picture of the group ones - but since I am not a huge fan of them, I haven't memorized his mugshot.

Yeah - because it's not like this person is famous for his singing voice or anything - he is famous for his mugshot. Oh, wait...
It's not like this dude is Beethoven or Elvis - and even people into music might not know who this is. Take me for instance. I love music - but I don't really judge music after the artist. I judge the music after the music.
If I for instance made a sculpt of Akira Toriyama, the guy who's famous for creating the most popular manga/anime of all time Dragonball - could I in that case just assume everyone will recognize his face if I put up a picture of the sculpt without a proper description describing it? Hell no. I don't even think I could do that with someone like James Cameron. Steven Spielberg? Maaaaybe, but not sure. I would still explain who he was if I made a sculpt of him as well, though. I hate when people assume others will know everything.
My point of this? 90% of all artists are too damn lazy to give their deviations a proper title and description, and I am sick of them getting away with it just because they put effort into the art itself. It's not a good excuse by miles.

I have to say Jagger does have a pretty famous name tho, and his face is pretty common in music videos and such. I'm not a fan of The Rolling Stones at all, but I still recognized him.
