Happy New Years, everyone! This is a collab that I did with *Katrins23 . "Corrupted" is a comic project that she's thinking of making, and this will be the cover of one of the issues featuring her OC, Mikee the Echidna. I should be getting a tablet tomorrow or over the weekend, and that will help me with making the selections more smoother and definite. She'll be uploading this same piece to her gallery once she's home, and I would really appreciate it if you guys could support it over there too. I'll link it here as soon as it's available.Enjoy!

Oh. so that's what it was. nice. gonna give you a quick ti for sonic characters. They're typically not as tall as you make them to be, and their hands and feet are usually really big. just to help you improve. try practicing that.

I always do them last.Β It's interesting to hear other people's methods of coloring.Β Maybe I just do it last because it's my least favorite part... XD

I just do not have a tablet and painting a background without reference can be challenging so I remove itΒ and make it transparent XDΒ But the last few Sonic screenshots I've done turned out well, thankfully

I've been trying to get a tablet for the longest... I'm hoping I can get one tomorrow (was supposed to be today, but I'm sure I can do it tomorrow). For some reason, I can make backgrounds so much faster than I can with the actual shading on the character. XD That part takes me the longest to do, but I still have plenty of fun with it. I love all your most recent works too! Your shading is a lot more clearer than mine, not as bumpy or shaky like mine looks. I think that alone makes up for a background. ^^

The shading of the character does take me the longest but I enjoy it more..idk XDΒ And thank you.Β Do you use the line tool when making the shading lines??Β That'll prevent it from being shaky

Well you have seen me do it in streams before I believe but I could show you again if you don't understand.Β You just create the shape and close it on the black lines and color it in.Β Just gotta make sure the lines are on the top layer with the shading then the matte color below that and you're golden.

I think I understand, but I would love to see how you do it again on your next livestream. You have no idea how helpful you've been in my development. XD Now that I have a bit more experience with making selections, I can easily adapt with anything I learn from watching you.

I went on a job interview before the break and then was away for most of it so I didn't apply anywhere recently.Β I am expecting a call from that potential job tomorrow and hopefully I get it.Β Otherwise it's volunteer work for me .-.Β Thanks for remembering and asking, that's very kind of you.
