Description
Mixed Media. I used colored pencils, pastels, markers, and water colors. This took forever and I was terrified I would ruin it the entire time because it was purely experimental. It started as a painting exercise that I then got creative and carried away with and then it was too nice to just have it as a test of a technique and I had to finish it. I painted the tree in real time looking at the real thing, and I used these two photos for references (with permission from the owners of course):thumb55533659:

This is the first of two entries I am planning on getting in to the dreams contest. I hope I will have the time to finish the second in time. This one is traditional, the next one will be digital.

the wolf is very interesting and ethereal...but i'm so stuck on the surroundings. the moss, leaves, grass...it's all so pretty.

The atmosphere of the picture conveys this sense of magic and mystery that makes it so oneiric yet, with a great attention paid to details (I especially love the tree on the foreground *0*).
You cleverly managed to get the best of the combination of pencils/pastels/markers/water colors~
