This was a line art for the November Lineart Contest. This time I decided to go all out... This is the longest I have ever spent on line art... EVER! And it won the contest! I was thrilled.

I updated it with a coloring now that the contest is over. It is comprised of four different coloring jobs from the various entries.

About the Picture

The theme was magic. So I am drawing A fight/play/dance scene using magic. If you read the excerpt in the Fireflies deviation, you know that Koji is a water master and Kiala is a Fire Master. Their skills are equal opposites and they cancel each other out, this is right before the water and fire turn to steam. ^__^ When Kial and Koji fight, it is like a dance, because their techniques are that way, it is also more like play because they both enjoy themselves, getting into it. Neither can really hurt the other. That is why they are fighting. To me, their relationship is rather magical, and so not only is there the use of magic and the existence of magical elements in this picture, there is a magical connection between the characters. The lamp thing on the side has a tiger carved into it (yes, Koji's Tiger) because it represents him (and it is at his place). Miakai is there to make an entrance, but she also symbolically represents Kiala, whose animal is the dragon. So the fight is really the tiger versus the dragon. Even if this picture doesn't win the contest and get colored, I will some time find a way to color it myself... because the image is too beautiful to leave uncolored. Though it may be a long while before I get to that. That being said, I hope you all enjoy it. ^__^
