Description Well, it's time for another ID change. And this time, it contains a lot of references to one of the greatest movies of all time & probably my newest favorite movie: 2001: A Space Odyssey. The alien is not a part of the movie. It's just for amusement.

Your style's really cute!

but may i ask, what problems do you have with same-sex couples and marriages? what's the difference between them and opposite sex couples? it couldn't be because they can't have children because that's true for women who went through menopause or are infertile.

You think so? Why do you say that?

Well, I don't really have so much against it now as much as I used to, but I just feel the concept is wrong and I personally find male homosexuality to be disturbing and squicky. I've become a little more accepting of lesbianism and bisexual females, however, as long as it's not too raunchy and it's more cute and fluffy, like MLP:FiM shipping fics or something involving female anime characters like Azumanga Daioh.

Besides, it's a rather outdated ID. I hope to update it at some point.

I'm not sure, really. I think it's the big eyes and how every looks very...animated. Just like rubbery and springy. (on your style)

Well, that's still a little prejudice. After all, love knows no gender. And gay people
can't change who their attracted to, just like you can't. So it's not like they can help it.

I assume you're a straight guy. And I think it's common for straight men to enjoy female-on-female relationships,
because that's what you're attracted to. But that doesn't mean you have to completely block out male-on-male
relationships and call them wrong or sick. It's quite hypocritical if you ask me.

But I can definitely say where you're coming from. I've also noticed something. You seem to be speaking about it
as if you're seeing it as what you find hot, and what you don't find hot. That's not really what it's about.
It's about accepting people for who they are and who they love. Not whether you find it sexually appealing or not.

Well, I do love a ton of cartoons and animation that take advantage of the medium, like the Looney Tunes and Tex Avery.

Even then, though, that's not how God made us. I'm not saying it's a crime against humanity, I'm just saying those decisions aren't very ethical.

Yes, I am indeed a straight guy. However, you may think I'm hypocritical, but I just find male-on-male incredibly disturbing, and for female-on-female, I would prefer it if it were based around more cartoon or anime based works and it would just be light fluff rather than hardcore sex.

Also, I'm not up for sexual appeal, or finding something hot over the other. I'm just going by my preferences.

God didn't make you. Your mother and father did. And even if you're speaking basically, the bible is full of holes.
It says homosexuality is a sin? It also says pre-marital sex is a sin. And that masturbation and sodomy are sins.
It also says that bats are birds, and that the Earth is flat and rests upon pillars, and that we should stone our children if they misbehave.

With all the mistakes the bible has in it, how do we know homosexuals aren't just here to stop the world from being overpopulated?
At the end of the day, it makes a lot more sense then God creating homosexual humans just to scold them. That doesn't make any sense.
Why would he create these people who are attracted to their own gender, which is something they can not change, just to send them to Hell
for the feature that he, their God, gave them?

Seriously, this is one of the reasons why I'm just done with religion. It doesn't do anything for me, and to tell you the truth, it never really has.

Well, scratch the 'sexually' appealing term.
You're just going by what you find appealing in general.
And that's not fair. That's like me saying, "well I don't think blondes and gingers look good together,
so I don't think they should get married." You're looking at it in the wrong perspective.

I just wanted to know if you recognized their love for what it is, no matter what gender.

The jokes would make more sense if you saw the movie itself.

I find it ironic that you list sexism and racism as your dislikes but also same-sex couples. Prejudice is prejudice is prejudice, you know.

ManiacalDude In reply to pirate-soul [2008-04-05 15:18:41 +0000 UTC]

What do you mean by that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

pirate-soul In reply to ManiacalDude [2008-04-06 06:23:12 +0000 UTC]

I mean, that it seems one would dislike sexism and racism because they are an unfair prejudice against people who are no less people because they are black or a woman or whatever. So to then say you have a thing against same-sex couples is the same as being sexist or racist, it's an unfair and unfounded hate against someone who is no less an equal than anyone else.

I'm not saying I don't like same-sex couples, I just don't like the idea of two people from the same gender being together like that...

pirate-soul In reply to ManiacalDude [2008-04-07 13:25:57 +0000 UTC]

isn't that the same thing? and either way, it is still prejudice.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ManiacalDude In reply to pirate-soul [2008-04-07 21:03:44 +0000 UTC]

No, it isn't. I just feel that people should marry people of the opposite sex & not the same sex. It just seems more pleasant to me.

You think everyone, even people you never met and never will meet, should only live their life in a way that YOU happen to find "pleasant"?

PS. I also like 2001.

Well, as Steve Miller sang on his song "Who Do You Love":

"Ever since time began
Man loves a woman
Woman loves a man
This is the way it was meant to be
Through the pages, through the books
Of our history"

So a song determines how everyone's relationships should be? Interesting

It's the truth.

pirate-soul In reply to ManiacalDude [2008-04-10 12:49:57 +0000 UTC]

Right. More PLEASANT. it's your personal preference. You're straight, that's cool, but don't put same-sex couples as one of your DISLIKES. That's like me saying, I personally don't like snowboarding. So PEOPLE WHO SNOWBOARD are one of my dislikes.

SquirreLord [2007-05-25 03:10:00 +0000 UTC]

What's wrong with same-sex couples?
Who really defines what is evil?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

SquirreLord In reply to SquirreLord [2007-05-25 17:31:59 +0000 UTC]

If same-sex marriage is wrong, then what is right? In some cases, homosexuals are disgusted by the idea of hetero sex. So what makes it so wrong?

And is a crime only something that causes harm to someone else? Or something that is not in line with your definition of morality? It is a great tragedy when people abuse power, but it is hard not to when given so much of it, combined with human's corruptable nature.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

ManiacalDude In reply to SquirreLord [2007-05-25 16:58:43 +0000 UTC]

First of all, they're disgusting & just plain wrong.

Second of all, I define evil as people who commit crime, people who are dictators, people who are jerks & skuzzbags, people who wreck the environment & don't give a crap about it, people who are lying con-artists, people who abuse power, etc.

the Blue Danube is the classical music piece that plays when, I can't remember who, maybe it was Dave, was jogging around the spinning space ship So when I see this picture, I think of that song in my head.

ManiacalDude In reply to Nebulan [2007-03-04 02:03:31 +0000 UTC]

Actually, that wasn't the piece playing when he's jogging, that was another piece. The Blue Danube played when it showed those spaceships floating around in the beginning.
