This is part of an art trade I did with . I decided to do her two pictures in one, a pic of her favorite Tezuka character, Kimba the White Lion (We both like Osamu Tezuka), & a caricature of one of her favorite singers, Kenny Loggins (I've kinda become a fan of him as well).KIMBA:
I've never seen the show myself, but it sounds pretty interesting. The thing is, I'm not sure which one to watch, the English dubs or the subtitled ones. And if you're wondering about those two people around him, the Japanese man is my caricature of Tezuka in my style, & the girl is Pinoko, one of the characters from the Black Jack series that I read. Her line is a reference to a story in Black Jack's canon where he operates on a cute lion cub that happened to be Kimba in a role outside of his series. I've seen the anime episode for that, but not the manga for it yet.
KENNY LOGGINS:
I recently got an Essential Kenny Loggins CD in New York, so I listened to that while painting this. Some of the things around the room represents a part of Loggins' career. The caricature picture of Jim Messina relates to the fact that, after producing, writing songs & playing instruments on Loggins' first album, Loggins formed a duo consisting of him & Messina. The Pooh doll came from one of his earliest songs, "House At Pooh Corner", which he wrote for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, & did his version of it with Messina. The soundtrack albums show that Loggins became famous for contributing songs to soundtracks, like "I'm Alright" for Caddyshack, "Footloose" for Footloose, & "Danger Zone" for Top Gun.
I tried my best to recreate the "Footloose" Sountrack Album cover on this.

I'd be angry, & Tezuka would be rolling in his grave. No, rolling's too good. SPINNING WILDLY is more like it. This is the "God of Manga/Father of Anime" we're talking about here. To dub it in such a manner would be the ultimate blasphemy in the anime world, so unholy that the Japanese would never forgive them. I mean, Tezuka's works have a deep message & complex storytelling. To leave dubbing to some idiots like 4Kids would be a terrible mistake. They'd butcher it so bad that Tezuka fans will want their hides for this atrocity!

The first I heard of him was the song he did for The Tigger Movie. Afterwards, my brother somehow had a Loggins & Messina CD & I listened to that, & before long, I got into him.
I now own 3 vinyl records of his: Nightwatch, Keep The Fire, & High Adventure.

The series is all over YouTube as well as Leo the Lion (Onward Leo), The New Adventures of Kimba, and the feature film "Jungle Emperor Leo" which made me cry and touched about the whole story.
I hope to get the mangas since I know they're very hard to find now than it used to be.
I wanna get the CDs of his songs.

That doesn't have to be a profession. You can learn about the history of animation by studying sources involving that field of animation. I've learned quite a bit of animation factoids myself.
You look like the kind of person who'd make a great cartoonist/mangaka.

Actually the most famous Animation Historian is John Canemaker and wrote on animation history in several books. Not to mention Leonard Maltin as well and thanks to I have almost the entire Walt Disney Treasures Collection especially on stuff even I don't know about.
I can be an animator, but I prefer to do storyboards as well working at the archives
