This is one of the best Skyward Sword Link cosplays I've ever seen!! Wonderful job! I love your Master Sword prop, how'd you make it?

The handle is a PVC pipe piece with a foam board base for the blade, and I covered the foam board with styrene plastic and also used the plastic for the details on the guard.

Are you referring to the character in the picture above? Or the series of games titled "Legend of Zelda"? Just curious, because that's Link, not Zelda.

Hi. Lefty here. You have plenty of reasons to be proud of being a lefty. We make up roughly 10% of the Earth's population, and we have a higher percentage of people with IQs over 140! Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Benjamin Franklin were all left-handed. That's pretty neat, huh?
This game, Skyward Sword, is the first game where Link is definitely right-handed, but it has been an issue of contention before, for example in a Link to the Past, his hand switches due to limitations on the developers and sprite animations. He's also right-handed in the animated series. With the exception of Twilight Princess, Link is certainly left-handed in every other game. So calm down. He's still a lefty.

I didn't miss your point, I dismissed it as being ridiculous and instead tried to find one that made more sense. Forgive me for failing to do so.
Skyward Sword is canon. If it helps you feel any better, it's only one incarnation of Link that you can't "relate to" because he holds his sword in a different hand. Since, as I mentioned, the world is predominantly right-handed, and the Wii version requires you to use your dominant hand as Link's dominant hand, the choice was made to make him right-handed. It wasn't to slight you or to take away some precious connection you have with the character.
By the way, Einstein is German. Darwin and Newton are English. My point was there are many reasons to be happy to be a lefty.

Ambidextrous is the term you're looking for. This doesn't necessarily count, due to being both and neither at the same time. That means either singlehanded character can appeal to you. Oh, X is left handed? Well so are you. Y is right handed? Well so are you. So there isn't an issue there.
