Mister Hanna man assisted me in naming this character finally by accident actually lol. SO new character wanted to finish him a long while back. Have had him in my mind forevers.I definitely had his hair cut in my mind for a longtime and on paper for fairly long.
So yeah here is all color pencil except the crap background which I did in .2 seconds in prismacolor marker.

I likes, of course, the hair style. Quite awesome. But the blindfold has me wondering about his character. Looks like a mysterious/badass/profit-like character to me. I likes!

I have to say, this is quite possibly one of my favorite pieces you've ever created.
There's so much movement, balance, contrast, detail, the pose is beautiful, the tones are gorgeous -- just every detail is so wonderful!
I will ask, though, what's going on with his left hand? (It almost looks like he has 6 fingers? o: )

Gotta say, the hairstyle is very interesting... I'm actually wondering how you could manage to get an actual persons hair to do that
It's a unique design- I don't think I've ever seen something of the like before.
...If Lady Gaga uses this hairstyle- I think I just might die of hysterical laughter. Because I can totally picture her trying it.

I love the calm pose and the uplifted head and slightly open mouth. It makes him look very hopeful and calm, yet the fidgety hands seem to convey and sense of anxiousness.
Excellent shading on the hair, as always. I think I have the wrong kind of prismacolor to get that smooth shading effect. I have the 36 set of Verithin hard lead pencils. But my mom is going to get me the new 132 full art set made with softer leads for my birthday! Hopefully I can achieve that soft color transition effect you capture so well once I get those ones. What set do you have?

I have the 48, 120, and 132 set. 132 set is newest the others are very used lol. I use the 132 set most now. I do have a small verithin set but I don't use that too often. When I so it is for tiny details

I'm sure I will. The verithin are not very good at shading hair all life-like. Is it easier with the regular ones?

Lol. I bet because the verithin are made much harder it would be harder (pun possibly intended) to shade properly. But I was very disappointed last week. I sharpened my black one down to almost nothing because the point broke off every single time I sharpened it. I mean it broke off below the woodpoint, not at the tip. It was extremely frustrating since the verithin basically brag about being strong and not breaking under pressure. These were broken before I even put the pencil to the paper.

Hmm I find you need to use certain sharpeners with prismacolor or they can wind up breaking every time ;_;.
