The shading looks so nice.
I think the blood could be a bit darker, imo. since blood usually looks almost black sometimes.

Blood IS often quite dark but you'd be surprised by how bright it can be as well, especially if it's fresh. But you're right, the blood could definitely be darker in this image, but I intentionally kept it brighter to give the piece more...pizzazz?

True. Though fresh blood is darker, old that has been on a shirt or something is usually brighter.
The brighter does stick out a bit more though, and you got most of its... uhhh.. blood physics? (that's a thing right?) correct.

When I started playing Bioshock Infinite for the first time (didn't work that well on my Macbook Pro, but still playing it despite this) I can say that the blood spots, instantly reminded me, of the rose pedals floating in the water I walked in when I was rocketed up to Columbia's giant chapel.
