This colors I did for Will Conrad's work. IT was a cover made by him to Dark Horse's Kull issue #04, and this is a color sample.The difficult part was the color pallete, 'cause Will's art have MANY details! Great artist!

Well, basically, I colored it from a different way, thinking that Kull was an old king, I used a old technique called "grisaille" by the old italian masters.
And it means, do the hole work, or a good part of the render in black and white, then use colors layers over it, changing in some cases the blend mode: hardlight, multiply, etc.
Then, another layer where you do like the old guys called "sfumato", and blend, in this case the line art and the colors
I think that´s it

Dude, great work. Only thing I would critique is that the texture is flattening the background some ambient cool light or what have you, would make the piece pop
