Description I was so inspired by spring and this granny hat pattern (youtube video): www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQG_MB…
that I made this hat
(Yes, I said spring, it's been sitting in my closet unphotographed for a while )

Made with a J hook and red heart yarn while chatting to friends at Live-Action-Crafters

This very hat is for sale for $15 + shipping!
I will also take commissions for hats in this style with colors of your choosing!
(please someone ask me for a bobmarleyman hat!!!)

Please see the back of the hat too: fav.me/d7rqbmc

This is cool. Have you thought about trying Etsy?

I have thought about it, but they take a chunk out of what you make and I already try to price my things as low as I can and still make a profit.   I guess I could just raise the price.    I have been taking commissions and making sales over the internet privately and haven't had any trouble, but I suppose it is only a matter of time before someone rips me off (since I don't use etsy or paypal).  Do you use etsy?  What do you think?

Yeah they do, I know. But its not very much. When I price my things I go by time, materials, and expenses. Selling them on etsy is a similar enough expense to say the gas and admission fee for doing the history events I often do.
I do use etsy a bit,. I have so far sold about 200$ worth of the wire weaving on there. I don't have anything up now, but I do intend to get some more stuff up soonish. Now that I have a working camera again.
And so far I like etsy fairly well. Its the only online sales I have tried so far.

Its only 2 cents to post something there and I think its between 5-10 percent sale price that they take. Which for most things is not much at all. I just work it into my price.

Its not bad at all especially for small scale crafters. If I was doing more expensive stuff it might not be as good. But for the moment it works well. One of the things I love is that the listing is for 3 months, and if it does not sell all you pay is the 20 cent listing fee.
