Description
I was commissioned to make a realistic tiger hat (with earflaps and tassels) for the commissioner's girl, and this is what I came up with! The details are crocheted onto the surface of the hat, or other crocheted pieces attached (ears, nose, white nose parts, yellow irises). I used a lot of scrap yarn including Red Heart, Bernet Alpaca, and Caron simply soft. I used a J hook.

I really enjoy making these animal hats, so send me a note if you are interested in having one for yourself! This one took quite a while (I hate to even guess) because of all of the details. If you'd like one this detailed it would cost $40 + shipping. My more simple hats start at $20 + shipping.
