Really superb. How do you manage to capture the shot? I mean do you have to wait until the insect lands in front of you or do you lay something down so they land on the spot you want?

(Sorry not try to steal you secrets, just interested. )

all depends..for this shot i cought it in a cup and placed it on the ground..i only got 2 shots before it flew off..grrrr..best time to shoot them is early in the morning when its cold but there harder to find then/

Insects' eyes look so weird - they're so huge compared to the size of the head. Plus there's some kind of a "net"- like texture over the eyes. How can they see with them? LOL

that can see better than us..we have 2 eyes..they have 1000s.. all those little dots are eyes..so each eay is made up of lots of little eyes.thats why when u try to splat a fly they always seem to fly away just as you try to wack them..they can see in slow motion.
