I've always been a classical artist at heart. I've always felt that it was the easiest way to show people how I see the world.
But over the past few years, It's been harder and harder for me everyday to concentrate long enough to finish a single piece.
So I started taking up music seriously, and now it seems I can't sit still long enough to finish writing a piece of music either. I thought that getting me up, getting me moving would solve my concentration problems, but it's only made me more jumpy.
I've never really considered photography seriously, but I'm starting to. My father was an amateur photographer, and I've always loved the way ringflash portraits look. So detailed... so emotional. I feel like I can still show people the way I see the world without sacrificing too much.
What kind of camera do you use, or rather a better question would be... what kind of camera would you recommend for me? I have fairly shaky hands... as you could infer... and I'm not exactly what one would call wealthy... I just want something that could perhaps capture details at a close range? Perhaps it's a separate lens I'm looking for? I admire you're ringflash portraits, so I thought you may be able to help.

hmm well i`d pick up a used canon 350d/400d and a wide angle lens for quirky portraits. I use a 40d which i recently upgraded from a 400d (some would say i sidestepped).
I feel maybe you need to get yourself into a frame of mind where you can finish what you start be it art or music as you could spend the money and find you leave the camera sitting there. Having said that photography is great.
