I figured it might be kind of fun to do a mock cover, of what I would do, if I had my way with the new lineup of the DCnU 52 books. Some others had done thiers... This is mine.Here's the premise:
"BATGIRLS: HOPE PREVAILS - One year after Barbara Gordon has regained her ability to walk again, But the actions of a rejuvenated Mister Freeze has forced her to take back up the cape and cowl again. Fortunately, for her, she's this time forming a small cadre of crimefighters consisting of the novices Misfit and Flamebird, the deadly Blackbat and the team leader Spoiler... The Batgirls!"
Corny? Yes, but I admit it.... I totally have a dozen story ideas for this... You can find the cover, minus the logo and the text over at my blog here: [link]

Man I want a whole Batgirl team crossover. The Robins interact all the time, but we never got much action out of arnymore than two Batgirls at once, usually just Cassie and Spoiler or Steph and Oracle, I really do wanna see all of them together kicking ass

Pretty much what they should have done, since it would have catered to fans of each 'Batgirl' and could easily swing from serious to fun stories.

I have no problem with Babs walking again, I say good on her. Hell, there have been endless miracles in DC such as characters dying/resurrecting over, and over. But the way it was done, which was at the expense of retconning Cassandra & Stephanie from existence, was another way of ruining diversity in the BatFamily.
Had this been a cosmic-altering force like a Superboy Punch, I would've agreed. But instead, we're treated to a reboot because the writers said so. No explanation further than that (now that's very imaginative). And recently, DC is all gaga over this whole Superman/Wonder Woman love angle (echh). Strange how things have turned out...
On the upside, I used to buy a LOT of DC comics, but now has come down to Batman Inc. & Li'l Gotham. So that's good for my wallet.

It would have been so easy to have Barbara Gordon walk again but still remain as Oracle, and to have kept the other Batgirls as her 'Team'.

Cool! I loved the way you drew Steph, but who's that red headed girl way in the back with the blue mask, eyes and freckles?

The lil' redhead in the back is Charlotte Gage-Radcliff aka Misfit. She was a self-proclaimed Batgirl, who didn't last long in the role. Barbara convinced her to step down, and took her under her wing. Unfortunately, we've heard nothing of her in the NuDC universe reboot. (She may not even exist.

Well, Charlie's not all that obscure. Until the comic book reboot that doesn't seem to have made things better, she was a pretty major character in the Birds of Prey. She even has a 'National Misfit Day', which I'm happy to say I've drawn work for: [link]
I'm hoping she pops up in Young Justice. She's an extremely fun character.

Lot of us do, and for good reason, In a world where everything was going all grimdark and depressing... She wasn't just a light of hope, but she was the outright symbol of it.
I still believe hope will prevail.

I sure hope sooo , cus I could use some of Steph's fun wit~ You worded it the best~ She is hope, and fun. There is talks of her coming back as Red-X as a small character. I want her back as Steph. The one who went through all the hardships but still comes out strong and like you said a light.

Actually, tablet wise, I used an old Wacom Graphire 4. Though it was done on my old computer, so on my new current one the settings it's as good. That's pretty much what I colored it with.

Well don't do what I did. I came up with a Batgirl/Venom x-over some people liked but I couldn't really think of a over all plot and it kinda died

Love it! This sort of thing would be awesome! I'm still hoping there might be something like a Black Bat and Spoiler title in the offing at some point and I'm currently writing my own scripts for a Steph Brown series just for fun.

This is absolutely fantastic. The lineart style, the coloring, the composition, the title...I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Literally the only problem I have with this is Babs's and Steph's ears...the way they poke out so strongly through the cowls makes them look less like ears inside cloth, and more like some kind of weird growth, like fish gills or something.

Brilliant. Love Steph's mischievous expression, Babs' smug look, and Cass' always-serious frown. You got their personalities down with just that cover.
