Creepy cyclops! A refreshing take on an idea older than dirt - and I really like the folds of flab around the "neck" (or lack thereof). The misshapen, flatfish-like anatomy also adds to its cool points (I had to look at it twice before I noticed the atrophied eye).

It looks fantastic, man! In every possible sense of the word...The ocular hypertrophy/atrophy really tickles my fascination with biological asymmetry, but I think it's the mouth that really brings it off, the way it partially wraps around the bulging contours of its bloated face. THAT's the unspoken confirmation that this creature is moving towards flounder-style asymmetry, if it hasn't already. (Of course, the fact that it's part of a more "fantastical" setting makes me wonder if it's been warped by exposure to the dark alchemy of primal probabilistic forces, rather than having developed "naturally" through a linear evolutionary progression.)
Though I love the asymmetry, I have to say my favorite part is the anatomy, especially of the arms. I keep staring at those...They are resolving for me all kinds of questions that have remained unanswered despite hours spent poring over every available source from anatomy books to bodybuilding mags!
I'll spare you the effusive praise on the procedural artistic aspects, but needless to say the skin texture is beautiful as well! Love that bumpy, pebbly spininess.

I am a fan, but perhaps not for the reasons you are looking to hit. I love that he looks deformed and ugly, but my favorite part is the way the skin is handled as an element. The fact that the skin is very heavy and not too fleshy makes it reminiscent of an elephants skin, but also brings to mind animal scar tissue that's been worn over the years.
While I still say "beast" when I see this this I think of something that's been living in the wilderness for a long time with it's deformities, but not necessarily vicious. If you're looking to hit that, you might what to mess with the overall proportions or posture.
Great work!

Thanks for the feedback, man. I can see how you could reach that interpretation of his character. His facial expression does seem more weary than anything.

Wow, that's a really unique approach to depicting a cyclops. Definitely one of the more interesting ones I've seen, with the placement of the eye, etc.
