Description
The third and most recent of my mermaid images. This one was really challenging and often frustrating, but I'm thankful for having done it. I've noticed that I have much more patience on the paintings of done since doing this.Related content

I love the idea of seashells. doesnt look unnatural 'glued on' kind of 'bra' or cover, but fluid movement accinetal cover

I've been looking to remodel my bathroom and came across this beautiful artwork. I would love to have a print or even a wall mural of this. I would decorate my whole bathroom around this wonderful piece!

Super realism and detail Great sense of depth. Love the parrot fish. I can relate to the frustration but as you proved with this amazing image, it is always worth it in the end

A refreshing work of a somewhat tired theme. Just goes to show, there can never be too many mermaids. I love this.

Oh wow, great stuff! I actually really like the idea of the seashell top piece. I think it looks so handmade and unique, but I really have never seen something like it-- which is what I like the most about it. The fish are really realistic, too. The color palette is so dark and it really sets a calm, mysterious mood that I love. There is a lot of awesome tiny details and parts that looks so crisp and clean, very realistic. The only critique I have is the tail fin, which I wonder if it could be larger. The simple color design, nevertheless, certainly fits this picture so I almost want to take it back.

Very nice...I love how much this image resembles paintings of the Renaissance. It looks very classic - almost holy. The colors are blend very well. Each tone is highlighted by its complimentary color. I like the fish too - they add a lot to this picture. Great work.
