Being part Japanese myself and, having reread Arthur Golden's beautiful novel Memoirs of a Geisha over and over again, the culture itself began to spill into my artwork.

omg I love Memoirs of a Geisha D: I read it in 6th grade then reread it a couple years later...and now since it's been a few years I want to read it again. It's such a beautifully written book, it's too bad I don't think Arthur Golden has written anything else.
