You know I still can't believe I got here from reading that 'other' comic of yours. You know, the NSFW one, you... eccentric kinky bastard.

well, i did sign it, so i do expect a portion of people to track me down for it!

but yeah, this comic was done several years ago and i'm sorta embarassed by it now to be honest though, lol

Where to start? There is a lot to say…

I’ve now read every page of the comic so now I can express my thoughts on the matter.

First of all the characters renditions are quite impressive. Selena’s armor was quite a surprise; I knew it had to be fearsome although your concept proved my mental conception of it to be inferior. I especially liked the helmet and the unique architecture of the eye slats. As for her expressions in relation to her character; I think in many of them you got it beyond accurate.

Now then, I’m not going to say there were no errors at all (that as much would be fictitious to a few minor things that are irrelevant such as a few of Mitch’s scars disappearing and reappearing) but again, seeing as that does not affect the main storyline I could as easily say ‘I don’t care’. I’m not an artist anyway so what position am I in to decry meticulous particulars?

Moving along, Mitch’s character was a good portrayal here as you really brought out the ‘innocence’ he possess (specifically in the torture scene but not limited to--) and the proportions as to his weight and height further enhance his helpless role in contrast to Selena’s.

The torture sequence itself (my favorite) was probably the best of the entire 25 pages and I would venture your’s as well since there is this obviously inadvertent ‘charismatic’ drawing mood in those panels. The highest attention to detail (from what I saw) was there and the overall blend between the coloring and lining had been the finest.

On a further note, apart from the story, it was nice to see your artistic abilities improve with every page. I can only guess how it’s going to look in the future if you decide to continue. At first I had thought it was bizarre seeing this in a ‘comic setting’ as I had initially imagined the scenery to be as it would in real life, however, to base the color scheme you have chosen to fit your expression of the characters it could not have been more then a perfect match. There are just some things that seemingly coincide with one another; although this depiction was quite surprising in many aspects it does not feel out of place at all. On the contrary, there are some expressions and moods that can only be attained through this style of art.

Okay, next…backgrounds. I don’t know what to say about them. Sometimes they are intricate and other times they are blurry incoherent jumbles. I could guess that those are to bring focus to the personage in the panel but honestly I don’t what is going on. In either sense I suppose there could be some balance I’m not seeing… I just can’t comment on it. To the backgrounds that are really detailed, I enjoyed sweeping my eyes over it several times just to pick up the small, minute things. (Much like page 21) Believe me the backdrop in those panels really forced the mood.

To close up, I don’t know what else I can mention. Good job on the characters, mood setting, portrayal of little things, the angles you decided to draw and express the atmosphere from, etc… and above all else the fact you firmly— perfectly (even beyond at times) held on the theme. There are some instances where the dialogue does a summary or an extra panel or two might have been appropriate; yet considering at how long it must have taken to render this visually I can see those minor sacrifices swept aside. It may take only 5 minutes to do a page like this by word, but in the realm of art that is often extrapolated into days.

oh lawdy now these are the kinda comments i liek

however, pretty long, so ive been havin a hard time replying to it

but um, yeah, i can pretty much only thank you for all the compliments and words of encouragement

Yeah, the bloody bdsm-ish torture scenes are my particular faves. It was actuallly one of the reasons that pushed me onto this project.

But yes, i do agree that backrounds are my definite weak spot,

for once, i really hate doing pretty much all sort of backrounds, two, in this comic's case, between the characters and the text in each little square, i get very little spare space to do a backround itself most of the times, and the way that the story is written, (wich i try to follow as closely as possible) doesnt have much focus on the backrounds or environment. at least for now i reckon.

thanks a lot!

Incredible, I don't know how but your doing these panels so quickly! And they haven't lost their quality. It's interisting to see the flip side of Selena's face as nearly all of her expressions have been one's of hatred until now. Good job on keeping the emotional feel of mitch's feelings. The way you draw the eyes, the ears, and the posture really bring out the moment. Keep up the good work lusoskav!

You did a really good job with the facial expressions in this one, especially in the case of Mitch. But sheesh, the poor guy never can catch a break, can he?
