“One of the elemental infused animals of Estea. This group consists of typical animals, however specific magic types give them a new physical appearance and abilities, in similar fashion to the True Dragons. In this case, Voltures are vultures infused with Cyclone Magic. These birds are quite the buzzard, posing a genuine danger to unsuspecting travelers. Voltures of both kinds make their homes in the canyons and deserts of Estea, only posing a threat in their territory luckily. Nonetheless, Voltures have an unnatural sense of death, appearing to witness something dreadful about to occur.”

“The main variant, Thunder Voltures are the most common to be seen, These variants have an average lifespan of 35 years with a maturation at 8 years. It has a shocking height of 9 feet or 2.74 meters. Physically, the bird is massive in build, bearing a great wingspan. Moreover, Thunder Voltures have cloud-like feathers, very puffy but filled with static, mildly shocking to the touch. Thunder Voltures have the ability to use its wings to create thunderous sounds, disorienting its prey or predators, making up for its slow speed. Socially, these birds live in small groups, but these groups are merely needed and not chosen, as these group members would often fight with one another.”

“The rarer variant of the Volture, and a more dangerous one at that. Lightning Voltures have an average lifespan of 15 years with maturing at 5 years. Additionally, these birds have an average height of 4 feet and 6 inches or 1.37 meters. Physically smaller than Thunder Voltures, these Voltures are much faster in contrast, using their Cyclone Magic to travel as quick as lightning. Moreover, Lightning Voltures are capable of energizing their beak, talons, and wings to effectively slash through prey. Socially, these birds are much more hostile, actively hunting in packs of three. Interestingly enough, Lightning Voltures do not fight amongst each other, simply valuing the fastest amongst the group above the others. These Voltures have an interesting relationship with Stormkin, as where the Thunder Voltures are indifferent to even hostile, Lightning Voltures are docile in the presence of Stormkin.”

“These elemental birds are wild, but cunning ambush predators. Posing a legitimate threat in smaller fashion to a mountain lion encounter. Vultures are one of the only elemental infused creatures to be completely isolated to themselves, barely interacting with any other species aside from hunting. Truly, Thunder and Lightning is very frightening.”
