Carnage; that came soon as I clapped eyes on this and before I read your comment.Β  Poor lad.

Love the rough brushwork and rich colours contrasting to what had just happened.

there are just two people I know of, who can really paint with Artrage. You are one of them.

Although sometimes you make theΒ overallΒ painting too "floaty" and I have hard time letting my eyes rest on something more solid.

Haha, thank you so much, you are quite right in this, I recently made the painting so quick to mimic more impressionism style, and Artrage is just like another brush for me, coz I came from traditional art background so I paint like one too.
Also I think I focus more on overall atmosphere for this piece maybe?

Who is the other artist you mentioned? Keen to see his/her works!

Thanks a lot, I intend to make the angle from a photo journalist, close to subject and less stable

The contrast between the scene and the beauty of the art itself make it even deeper in my point of view. It's really really good and moving.

Thank you, the client sent me a background story of what's happened during the incident, I had a good read about and started this composition, so far I think it delivers the emotion well

There is an awful sadness in this picture. In a good way as far as the art is concerned, of course. Great work.

Thanks for your comment, yes indeed the war is hell, I am sure the veteran had gone through a lot in those mad years.
