y'know, i was never really happy with my original concept for Nocturnus' and Chakra's hypothetical second child, Aloe Leaf:
so i decided to scrap the idea and return the character back to my original concept for her.

"Ash" (real name unknown) is a little homeless bat filly that breaks into Noct and Chakra's home one night to plunder their kitchen pantry (and maybe steal any neat shiny things she happened to spot). Noct and Chakra find themselves at a loss of what to do with this loud, brash (and quite rude) little girl, especially as she seems terrified of them and lashes out at whoever comes close. Only Primrose is able to draw near enough to coax the girl into accepting a meal (which is ravenously wolfed down after only a moment of suspicion). Prim talks to her, learning her name, but Ash refuses to disclose anything else, only that she doesn't have any parents, and nopony is lookin' for her, so butt out!

She does panic when Noct brings up contacting the authorities. It seems that wherever she came from, she isn't in a hurry to get back to. Still, Noct hates the idea of a child left to fend for themselves, so he opens their home to the girl, to Chakra's complete and total annoyance. Chakra really doesn't like the little brat, and busies himself trying to learn everything they can about her, and hopefully find somepony else to dump her on.....but everything about the girl remains a mystery. She gets registered as a ward of Equestria, and as Noct (and later Chakra) become slowly, inevitably attached, they are made her legal guardians.

More eventually comes to light about Ash's past, despite her best efforts to conceal it, but it's all quite sad and terrible. In the end, Chakra, most of all, vows to keep this little brat safe, no matter what.
