It was a warm, lazy afternoon. Oddball rested comfortably, pouring over Nana Twilight's newly revised edition of Equestria: Lore and Legend. Finn, Odd's best friend, lay cuddled and dozing against the draconequus, listening faintly to Odd's heartbeat. It was all rather cozy, and for a while, the two friends didn't need to say anything.

Finally, Finn began to feel brave. He nestled unapologetically closer. "Hey, Odd, listen, mate...I think I like you."

Oddball turned to look at him. "Thank you. I suppose I quite value your company, as well, Finn...neglecting all the poorly-thought out adventures you've managed to rope me into."

Finn laughed. "Aww, but what's a treasure hunter without his trusty first mate? Besides, nopony can diffuse an ancient cursed blood diamond like you can." Finn grinned, before ducking his head, cheeks erupting into a pink blush. "....You really like havin' me around, then?"

"Of course." Oddball's smile was earnest. Finn masked a happy little chirp.

"S-so..." Finn had to strain to keep the nervous warble out of his voice. "You uh....you wouldn't be up for a little foolin' around, would ya?"

"I don't understand, Finn."

"Er..." Finn had been caught off guard by Odd's naivete. "You know....make out? Mess around? Touch...and stuff?...Experiment?"

"Experiment?" Odd blinked. "What hypothesis will we be looking to test?"

Finn felt confidence return to him now-after all, his flawless flirt game had never let him down, not with mares or stallions alike. He gave a sly purr. "How it feels to have my body pinned underneath yours, love."

"That seems hazardous to your health, Finn. And what will be our control variable? What exactly are we-"

Finn turned red, feathers ruffling up. "Oh for the love of-you dense!" He squawked, floofing up like an angry pidgeon, "Just kiss me already!"

"Oh. Okay." Oddball dipped his head and gave a single, chaste kiss to Finn's muzzle, the way one might kiss a grandparent. Finn gaped at him, utterly indignant.

"NOT LIKE THAT, YA CLUELESS BLOOMIN' NOODLE!"

not so funfact: finn is technically a pegasus, but his wings never grew. He just has lil feather bumps on his back he's pretty self-conscious about. Still a flirty flirt boy though

Poor Finn. His totally flawless flirt game and bedroom eyes are completely wasted on Oddball. So many years of practice...so many hearts broken in the wake of his best wink-and-grin combo...so much time perfecting his tail wiggle...all wasted on one noodle nerd that doesn't even seem to notice the obscene way Finn has started eating popsicles. Tragic.
