this picture is for ~peachtwee , who is the sweetest person ever because she sent me a cd with painter 7 on it, plus a little letter with pretty doodles, and she drew me a pic <3 i've been dreaming of owning painter for three years now, which is why today... is a special day *sob* THANKYOUSOMUCH peachtwee!inspired by my vacation recently, where the sunsets were really bright and intense and the boulevard was lined with entertainers (dancers, musicians). i tried to capture that atmosphere with this pic.

I know maybe too many people ask you this. What brush do you use to get that kind of texture. I've seen it on other people's work as well but they never really answer. Is it Painter you use or photo shop?

in this case i used painter 7, and it was the smeary round brush that gave the texture. it's under oils i think.

As far as painting technique goes, I think this is your most impressive piece. The strong, warm core shadows especially suggest a sunset to me.
Something about this piece in particular--especially around the legs--reminds me of Toulouse-Lautrec's work. Heart.

the colours are so warm and lovely
and youve captured the Parisian atmosphere perfectly, i spent two weeks wondering Paris on my own last summer and this just reminds me of how lovely it was and makes me smile

I don't know if that's what you ment, but it reminds me so much of
the "romantic" teperture that is so rareley found these days,
I onley been in that temperture once, when I was in a street show,
in I Italy, these where the colors of that filling, I'm shure,
and you just knew how to put them together..

Oh, yeah, I remember when I went to Paris with my class once, we also spend an evening near the Seine.
The atmosphere was awesome, there was this girl swirling around some fiery thing, and some guys were drumming others were dancing... It was so great!
