digital commission for *Mekania ! it's her original character. i came up with the outfit and hairdo (she usually has her hair down).done entirely with a wacom tablet in photoshop 5.0; i inked it with paintbrush, and colored with airbrush (varying sizes and opacities). i can't believe i managed that... i've become so very painter-addicted lately. photoshop crashed on me too! goshdarn! but i made it through :b so here it is.

Her face looks kind of weird and the one eye (her right) is wandering away from the bridge of her nose. And the bodily proportions are all off from eachother (ie; the arm is really scrawny and small as her thighs are huge and the other hand with the heart seems too small and that arm seems to be coming from her torso.) Other than that the folds in the clothe are really good and I have to commend you on your coloring skills.

I have to ask, how to you get those gorgeous smooth outlines around your characters? I've gone through a few tutorials that suggest a few mothods but the result is either horribly pixelated or does not really follow the character outline, or extremely angular. It's just an aspect of computer art that I find really intriguing and you seem to be one of the best at it.
Random questions aside, the anatomy on this is just gorgeous. I love the luciousness of your characters. In America we get these wispy figures thrown at us in advertsing and these ummm steriod woman in comics so seeing an artist really push the curves and plumpness of the female form is nice. ^__^
Your blending and micxing of colors is done really well. It's interesitng watching you blend color is different media. You've really got that trick down no matter what you use.
I can't decide if the shadow extending beyond the border works here. The wings moving past it is nice (and I love how the colro matches DA's background so the figure looks like she's entering DA's space!). The shadow however breaks the illusion that she's partly in DA's space because it cut off rather abruptly. It gives away the edge of the drawing and I think it would be more interesting if the edge remaind a mystery.
That's just my thoughts.

you mean the light green outline? i use outer glow and tweak with it a little so it's not as fuzzy.
