Noir was a priestess for only fifteen years until she broke her oath by sleeping with a young prince. For that, she was exiled from her village. She is now known as a witch for not only breaking her oath but for also living in a supposedly cursed forest.
As a part of the ritual to ordain priestesses in her village, they must attach a part of their saint beast to their body. Noir was naturally born under the snake (as indicated by the coil around her neck) but the ox is attached to her.
As for all the roses...that will be revealed later.
