Description
This is my take on the character Elwing from JRR Tolkiens 'Silmarillion'. I was trying to portray her waiting on the beach (for Earendil? ...or maybe deciding whether to hold on to that SHINY JEWEL ).

I wanted to make the panels on her dress look a little like wings (thinking on how her story ended) but I don't know if that comes across very well?

The cliffs are inspired by the cliffs of Moen in Denmark (absolutely stunningly beautiful white chalk cliffs - I didn't do them justice). Do I think the Havens of Sirion was in Denmark? Meh...

Elwing was drawn with mechanical pencil (B and HB) while the rest of the scene was done with standard sketch pencils on standard 135g paper and this whole thing took about 9 hours (I'm slow)
