GETTING WORSE WITH TITLESAgain, I love painting in greyscale!
This was also a quick practice image to see what I could do without using lines. I just opened up a canvas and painted shapes straight on it (with a reference). It came out quite well!
This is pretty much the indentical to Ivan Karelin from Tiger & Bunny, but it was intended to be an Ivan from a personal AU.

Your black and white pieces are always a treat to look at- you make them so expressive from taking away the colour, and just focusing on tone.

i really like how you used the reference. it went from kinda sorta OK dude to awesome cool edgy dude. the strokes (although you mentioned this was practice) also help to push the edginess across.

I'm really glad that you've picked up on such a thing. I wanted to use the reference as just a reference and aimed to not make a complete carbon copy of the guy in the photograph. So I'm glad it worked!
