Eleven kilos of paint! in a single purchase! wow.
I also buy a random colour whenever I can... I agree that nothing replaces ultramarine, though, I work with gouache and am not even close to your mastery of colour, haha! Looking forward to see what you'll experiment with. Cheers

Living in a small town means you pretty much have to order paint online, so you might as well get what you think you'll need for the next few years. And a lot of that paint was white. I do go though a lot of white paint. Now all I have do do it figure out how to use it.

Oh! I see, I previously thought the 11 kilos were of the same colour. That sounds more reasonable, then! I am also from a small town, and order online about once yearly... I know what you mean!

Β And I buy the cheaper paints, the ones that come in the 500ml sizes. Lots of medium, less pigment, but it works for me.

I've have to concentrate on making the colors bright, for these. Not something I normally do.
