Here two bright lights of the summer sky shine: M8, the Lagoon Nebular and M20 the Trifid Nebular. Both can be found in the constellation of Sagittarius, and each have a distance of 4,077 light years (Lagoon Nebular) and 5,200 light years (Trifid Nebular).
