Incredible shot, without a doubt one of the best focused astro shots I've seen. Perfect pin pricks of light.
I love being able to see the mountains clearly, without them being super distracting of the Milky Way too. They really add a beautiful depth and make the band seem way off in the distance behind them.

You need a fast wide angle lens, and a camera with a good iso rating. For this picture i use a tracking device like the Astrotrac, see it here:
