Not many people realise what a difficult medium coloured pencil is! Or indeed how laborious ones efforts are to achieve any results at all.
One comment said "coloured pencil, I thought it was a painting!".
But of course coloured pencil is a painting, it's simply "a coloured pencil painting".

The shades, the hues, the textures, the light and just the plain simplicity of the subject topped off with the little fairy makes this a beautiful piece of work!
You have amazing talent and i think you've expressed this piece rather elegantly.

That's insane. I never knew you could make anything so lovely just from coloured pencils.
This could be just the scan or photo, but the shadows right undernieth the fairy are fairly light compared to some of the apple's shadows. It might be nice to see a little bit of the brown brought into the edge where they hit her figure and slightly darkened. That's just being picky though!

I see so many DDs that are just so not worth the title; they're nothing special to look at and they didn't take all that much time or effort to create.
But this is truly amazing. I can only hope to be this good by the time I'm so old that my hands are crippled and useless. Ah, how I love life's little ironies. "Good job" doesn't even come close to touching this. Definitely worth the DD, and definitely worth a

That's coloured pencils? Woah. Just woah.
What pencils do you use, and how do you stop the paper shwing through? No matter how hard I press or often I go over iit, it never looks this deep.

Magical. Most deserving of a DD. Admittedly, I thought it was a photo from the thumbnail, but saw that it was indeed made with a good old traditional medium!
It's mostly the bowl I dig. The reflections and highlights on it really show off its' polished wood surface and ultimately perfect it.
