Description This piece is the fault of Moodymand, , and her wonderful unicorn pieces. I felt the urge to draw one after seeing her latest piece. And this is the result. A nice little break from my commissions.

Again, the scan doesnt do justice to the original! The colors are far more vibrant, and different. In the original its more of a perlino colored unicon (difficult color by the way! I'm better at dark colors.) Some details got lost too. I'm afraid this was a too subtle drawing to do well for my scanner.

I know it screams for a background of some kind, but I'm not up for right now. Maybe some other day.

ow beautiful! just like all of your other new pieces! i'm SO sorry i didn't comment on any of them but i just want you to know that i looked at them all and they all amaze me as always. terrific job! I really like how the feet fade out and the yellow tint on this one. very ncei touch. Awesome work!

he's pretty! anAndalusian for a ref? it definantly needs a background....the uni gets lost in the light color....but I understand completly not feeling like doing one rightnow...

Thanks. It was reffed of a Konik horse, click the link and you'll see him. But I can imagine you thought that, seeing the end result. Background will follow, just dont know when.

ahh, cool.... these days I seem to be thinking most horses look a little Andalusian....might be because I'm working with them a lot these days...

I had that when I first got to know Andalusians (and since then have completely fallen in love with them), thougt I saw an Andalusian quality in every breed. They sure are gorgeous.

Aww you can definitely tell it is a perlino, the little bit of pink showing through is gorgeous! wonderful job

le gasp ohh the colours, the neck and mane!! Drool.

I adore that colouring and pose. It is annoying when scanners don't pick things up but the colours look beautiful to me anyway. The pink nose and blue eyes... I love the tail, and mane... so much mane

he's a stunner!
It's all my fault haha. Well this is one thing I don't mind being blamed for

Thanks Amanda! I wish you could see the original, its so much better.
The mane and tail is thing I always imagined like that when I was younger, the way a fairytale unicorn should look like. I still want to give it a background though, maybe then the colors will be scanned better too. It does deserve a background.
I'm glad you dont feel offended. But I had a feelling you wouldnt.

This would look nice with a background, something dreamy... I don't know what. Maybe even just some random swirly colours. I do like the soft peach though!

yes, that would make a good background. Its times like these that i wish I had a tablet and knew how to work digitally. My pencils-background skills still suck.

If unicorns are often thought to be such cliches to draw, this certainly is something different. The colours you used, no matter what you scanner did to them, are quite unique, something you don't see often put so well together in an equine art piece. The head looks a bit big in my eyes, but overall, this was a pleasure to see. Nicely done.

Thank you very much. I know that everyone has different views on unicorns, but I think that every version is a good one as long as the art portrayes it well. Thanks for liking this one. You might be right on the head, I noticed it after your comment! But we'll have to live with it.

You're very welcome, and I should say thank you for sharing your beautiful works with us. Isn't it always so that we need to live with some things we might like to change in our works. But we shouldn't worry about it as long as it's not something really disturbing. And there definitely is nothing disturbing in this drawing.
