Description
This is 's original character Jason from The Wars of Avenan.I'm entering Saimain's contest (found here [link] ) with this so wish me luck!
I finally drew something that -almost- looks like it's supposed to go with it's background!
And to top that I drew a male that Looks like a male xDAnyway...this drawing actually went fairly well from start to finish. He had about 10 nose jobs and I had to redo the mouth quite a few times, but overall it was fairly easy. I had a hard time coming up with a background, like always, and ended up copping out with cobblestones
I'm still not quite happy with the neck though >.> I couldn't seem to do anything to make it look right, but I don't think it ended up looking horrible.
Spent probably 8 - 10 hours on this....wasn't really paying attention and definitely stayed up later than I should have xD Done completely in Photoshop.

The facial structure came out almost perfect, however the unsaturated colors leave something to be desired. Also, it seems as though you let a lot of the colors flat, perhaps a few more layers of paint would vastly improve this piece.

lol His race is Silene, which is fairly elf like I suppose.
Here's a partial description of the race quoted from the author Adele:

Oh this came out so nicely! I like that you portrayed him with such realism (it's a nice way to make characters seem more 'alive' you know?). The hair and the eyes are my favorite..

Ah, this turned out lovely! Very original pose and setting, and very realistic. Wonderful job on his face and the cobblestone background. Jason's quite thrilled to be getting attention again, hee, and especially with such a striking painting as his very first entry.
