I was kind of amused when I found this old drawing of mine today xD I just turned 16 and was a sucker for One Piece! This was an early OC called Sakura - a mixture between Nami and Hina. Guess, she deserved to be redrawn (the perfect thing to do on a snowy Sunday)Β

The progress is certainly vast: technique, shading, anatomy, details...2017 version beats 2004 in all aspects except of face.

90% of the 2017 version, to be precise. At the 2004 drawing face is in harmony with body, 2017 is what Urbandictionary calls "butterface". It looks flat and round like a coin, eyes are too far apart and there's no chin to speak of. In terms of facial proportions 2004 version was better.
