Story:
Keeping up with the deadlines was an easy task for the man since the beginning. It can be one of two or a loads of hard task that requires all kind of attention from you, Sean Reid was a man of his words. He always felt bad for not being able to finish something, pushing himself further and further when someone seemed to be impossible."Failure. I heard many times that we need to avoid them to find the best solution. But tell me, Reid, is it even slightly possible to avoid any kind of mistakes?" the red haired man asked as he was sitting in his wheelchair, watching the colors of the horizon changing by every minute. The response was the second reaction from the other man, who was checking his horse for the last time. There were two riders before his turn with his silver buckskin Zlesdin. Sean sighed and turned his face towards the sky as well."It's impossible. It might sound weird but mistakes are the one who made me who I am now. I can mention, I don't exactly talk about my "positive" traits, if you get what I mean." the black haired man petted the neck of the tall stallion, who sensing his owner hasn't finished his conversation, waited patiently beside him. At least, he inherited his manners for Amber. Silver would drag him away, as he could see the síre of Stroud when he was working beside Isabel. Much time has passed since that moment, but he knew, they will return but in different atmospheres... Nothing and no one will bring back the memories from Philadelphia, and it was the bitter part of the story of 2019...
"After all, did you regret your decision?" simple question, hard to answer. Sean usually needed time to measure the seriousness of the questions, but as this moment was near to a round of competitions, he couldn't waste too much. Beside that, how many times did he think about this? More than everything as he looked back to the last months of this year... "To tell the truth... From the moment when Iz and Dylan came after me, I found it the best thing to do. Not for myself, even if I had some fear for myself as well. I could never really demonstrate what has happened there, but something was off... We both know it. And maybe it will sound cruel... How do you know when she would decide about her new victim...?" Painfully truth huh? Time heals wounds as they say, and helps you to see the world from different point of view... Many says that happiness based on not thinking about what has happened and what will happen? For some however, it was not an answer. Scott, beside him, lost his horse and the ability to walk forever. Sean wanted to blame him completely for loosing Boreas, but the thought kept him awake many nights. And still does. It wasn't the red haired man's own decision. He could see that after those mysterious wounds on Amber, her behavior towards a particular important member of Lexus and then the attack of Silver which almost led to the horse's own death... Too much things had a point that lead them to the final solution. But showing them was harder. Proving their right, even more. We are talking about a prestigious and ambitious lawyer after all. Maybe that's why no one dared to take a further step.
"I know what you are thinking about. Same here, if you ask me. I hated myself and I know everyone does. I just could decline that offer. I could be more conscious of my actions. But men are blind when they are in line, huh?" Scott didn't laugh. He stayed silent after his frase for a moment.
"But that's not what I wanted to tell you, when I came here." he added. Denner was still member of Lexus even if Stella didn't even want to see him around after his accident. She was cruel in this situation but she expressed she said what she said to keep Scott away from any kind of harm.
"I will take that further step, just like how I said in Moscow. She cannot go away. For Boreas at least. And for you, guys there, who could leave before it was late."
"Are you afraid of the consequences?" simple question came back, not because of the doubt in Sean, but to ask further.
"What kind of consequences? What could she take away from me now? I don't have anything." he laughed. There was that bitter air in it, but Sean decided to brush it off. He couldn't understand him, no one could. Scott sent them away, he showed them that he needs no help from anyone.
"You have me. I will help you, just tell me, what to do." The dark haired man added, receiving a nod.
"I suppose you made photos of Amber when she had those marks in June, right? Send them to me. I will show them as an evidence as I might found the equipment that caused them. And your mare was never a one to attack and launch for a human without intention, neither Silver. There was something behind them."
Sean couldn't notice that the last rider before him stepped in the arena when Scott asked for the photos. When he did, he put his back and Silver helmet on, jumping in the back of his horse.
"For better news, before I can ruin your night totally. Isabel called me last week." Scott added, with a small but warm smile in the corner of his lips.
"Really?" Reid didn't know about this. Maybe he should concentrate more on these things as well?
"Yeah. She wanted to know how I am, and wanted to talk a bit. She talked about their new place and about Anthony. I was scared firstly, I'd you ask me... I still feel bad for what happened, and felt the slight tension in her voice as well, but I can say, she won't hate me that deeply as I thought she would. And hey, do they really asked you to be the grandfather of the little boy?" The red haired man asked, earning an eye roll for Sean.
"Now, will you call me old huh?" he asked back, shaking his head.
"Yeah, they asked me, and I was very shocked firstly, huh. But how could I say no? I love them." he added, turning to Stroud again who glanced up and down again, examining the colors of the illuminated decoration around them.
"Well, good luck, old man. Just take care of yourself." Scott added, chucking as Sean and Stroud entered to the arena...
