Description
While fossil prospecting near Lost Cabin, Wyoming I encountered numerous animal tracks on the floor of a gully system with seeps running through it. The white crust in the photo is made of mineral salts dissolved in the ground water. I found it remarkable to see a set of coyote tracks going one way and a trail of bobcat footprints proceeding in the opposite direction. The bobcat walked over this ground within hours after the coyote had passed.photo (c) John P. Alexander
