The madness of Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland adventures appears to be a popular and recurring theme among deviant artists. Here is my take. I should not have been surprised that someone has already thought of Frank from Donnie Darko as the White Rabbit. Technically he assumes the role of the March Hare in this work. To the best of my knowledge this the first use of Sweeney Todd as the Mad Hatter.

Be disturbed, very disturbed.

No, I didn't have a clue that Depp would play the Hatter for Tim Burton. Call it dumb luck.

Fitting, since Johnny Depp is playing the Mad Hatter in the movie.

I heard that Burton's "Alice" movie will be a CGI augmented film like "Sin City". Unfortunately I find movies like that to be impossible to watch.

QuietCannon In reply to LEXLOTHOR [2009-07-05 12:02:23 +0000 UTC]

It's supposed to be closer to Beowulf than Sin City. And you're free not to watch any movie you can't handle. If it's anything like my favorite movie of all time(Sin City) then I'll anticipate it.

This one is peculiar in its reception. If I had known how popular it was going to be, I would have asked twice as much for the original art!

artemisrox [2009-01-15 13:13:46 +0000 UTC]

FRANK!
Sweeny todd as the Hatter works quite well considering the fact that mr Depp will be playing the mad hatter in Burton's inturpritation of Alice in wonderland.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LEXLOTHOR In reply to artemisrox [2009-01-15 19:13:58 +0000 UTC]

I am happy that you discovered this picture. The original art went for an absurdly small figure considering its DA popularity. When the Burton movie comes out, I may do another on this theme. As I have told others, I did not know that Depp was going to play the Mad Hatter when I created this image. It just seemed to be a logical substitution.
