I love it how nature has given a lot of animals these cool adaptations. To me nothing is more amazing then what she as thrown at snakes. They truly are a marvel of evolution.

The big curving hump inside the beak is made by the curve of the neck pushing the pouch inside out. The tiny triangular point in the middle is the pelicans tounge. The fleshy worm-like thing above that is the epiglottus and the dark circular patch above that is the opening at the top of the trachea.
