The horse and rider seem particularly out of place. The rest is beautiful and intriguing.

Ha, good point. I did notice it, and they blend more with their surroundings than many pictures do (I mean in general, not from your gallery. Your gallery has great integration of subject and surroundings because the surroundings are also a subject when you draw them.)

Hehe I think I know what you mean. There are a lot of DA pictures, especially photo manips, where the elements are clearly from vastly different sources and don't cut together very well.

Differences in light source, for instance, can give a clue that the eye picks up faster than the mind.

Yeah, that's definitely a tip-off. Plus there's times where the images are of vastly different resolutions. A lot of these will be covered up by poorly used blurs.

Like the "smart blur," which I was fond of when I first found it but now avoid.

Oh, I'd never used that before. It's a strange one.

Hides blemishes but also creates strange, pixelated edges between colors.

Yeah, that's what I noticed most. Not the smartest in terms of practicality.

Yeah, it is easier to just go in with a tool and hide the blemishes if that's what somebody wants to do.

That's true. That's what the professionals do, after all.

A wonderfully twisted and atmospheric piece; your fine line drawings are complimented by the sublime digital airbrushing and carefully chosen color system - - I enjoy that you've created an entire landscape from several repeated constructs. Eerily inviting, it's a story that you invite us to complete.

An interesting futuristic background for a lone cowboy. I love the misty effect you added and with your art i always love how you use different perspectives

Tublr is something like deviantart and twitter together. If you have a profile there, there is a blue button with a T here on Deviantart, on the right of every image, with which you can upload it on Tublr. Very simple. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Wow! This is so "Heavy Metal" (the magazine, that is). Actually, more like the good stuff they USED to have. Great atmosphere, etc. Moebius couldn't do better.
