This is a loooong overdue gift for a truly wonderful friend of mine Kai . It was going to be my Christmas present to her, but, well… *erhem* I’m so slow!
These are her two beautiful felines Angel and Scraggin (I absolutely love the names!) along with a trailing design of blue lilies. The main feather is a mallard duck wing covert (which is significant, because the last time I met Kai, we walked past many of the happy balls of fluff in the park), and this is backed by a blue and gold macaw feather. A peacock neck feather adorns the very tip, adding a turquoise shimmer to the whole thing, which is attached to a length of black lace, finishing up the choker.
As usual, my scanner has been a very bad boo boo! I’ve tried to recreate the colours as best I could. In truth, the colours range from mid-turquoise through to light grey/brown.

Long overdue perhaps - but well worth the wait I'd say! Your feather paintings are as exquisite as ever 
I love the bright yellow eyes of the cats, their beautiful delicate whiskers and the lovely blue flower motif taking up the unused space

This one... argh, I can't remember! I guess though, that it was no more than an inch and a half in length. Not the smallest I've ever painted, but, still!

Yikes, with a feather that tiny it must be tricky. One good sneeze and your painting will dissapear across the room!

I know that feeling! My own artings have certainly slowed down lately. I put it down to feeling so tired all the time though. Oh well, what can we do? XD

Hopefully now that spring is here and summer is fast approaching, the extra sunshine will wake us up a bit after the deariness of winter!
I would have to hold my breath the entire time for fear of blowing it away...I think I'd end up passing out

Yes! I'm hoping that the extra sunshine will do exactly that. I think we all sort of... emerge from our winter sluggishness when the summer finally arrives.

Eh, I was bored one day and decided to try painting on one... I used to collect 'found things' and the feather was one of them. Instantly loved it and have been doing it ever since.
