Rose Island is to Italy what Sealand is to UK. It was a sea platform that established a republic in 1968. It adopted Esperanto as official language and, differently to Sealand, was fast disestablished by Italian Navy. Here's its flag .

I like the idea of these sea/ocean micro nations but building it in the Mediterranean? :S Just too risky. I'v always wanted to learn Esperanto :S Never had the time really though.
