Description This deviation was originally created to contest related to Latin American participation in World Wars.

---

A new decade is just starting... but the Allies don't have reasons to commemorate the coming of the 1940s. The Germans are having success in the two fronts, and an end to the war seems remote. Their biggest hope was that the American plan of making their Latin American brothers join the Allies gone well. Fortunately for the Allies, it became true.

For the American eyes, the biggest jewel of this new alliance was Mexico. A big, strong country, whose Armed Forces were training in own American land to what was expecting them in Europe and the Pacific. Mexican's astonishing population growth was also a big plus.

Ended the war, USA tried to use its political and economic influence in Mexico to obtain an important ally in Cold War. They just forgot to advise the Soviets...

Mexico: emerging groups in the early 1960s

Mexican People's Socialist Party: Soviet puppet in Mexican policy. Despite American resistance, has won the last presidential run with its mix of populism and socialism. Fidel Castro, exiled again in Mexico after a failed socialist coup in Cuba, is honorary president of the party.

Catholic League of Mexico: A network composed of minor and local Conservative and right-wing groups, sponsored by USA. The Kennedies, that dominates the American polity and themselves Catholic, are a strong supporters of the League. Not an armed group, but with sympathy by parts of the armed forces.

The flag of the group is inspired by the flag of the Three Guarantees (religion, independence and unity), with the fourth, blue star representing the Virgin of Guadalupe . The eight-pointed stars are also associated with Virgin Mary.

Zapatist Army of National Liberation: Paramilitary group inspired by the Mexican Revolution , specially strong in the rural areas of southern Mexico. CIA accuses the Soviet Union of backing the group, what it strong denies.

[Note: Its flag is inspired by OTL EZLN , that, in this timeline, had an early birth.]
